Julie

Hi guys,

What a long weekend.  We had a lot of baseball and spent most of it in the parking lot waiting for the lightning or rain to subside.  But when we did get to play Thomas did so well.  He plays 1 st base and sometimes right field.  I love to watch him. Everytime he does well he looks over at Tom and I and gives us the “thumbs up”.   Wanted to do some yard work but didn’t have the time or energy.  I’m so far behind when it comes to my flowers and mulch this year.  Of course, the weather hasn’t been on our side either.

Well, I’m still feeling good but I’ve been having a  lot of Braxton Hicks. Doc says its normal and everything checks out fine but they have been pretty strong and I’ve never had them before.  I’m 31 wks now so I’m on my way soon. Thomas can’t wait.  He says its going to be the best birthday present ever.  His birthday is a few weeks before the baby is due.  But both kids will be born in July.  This week my dad is coming in from Orlando for a week.  So I’m doing some major cleaning in my guest bedroom since there are maternity clothes scattered through out.  Plus I think its time to do the job of cleaning out Jessie’s room.  I’ve asked Tom to help me because I get anxiety just thinking about it.  Its not so much her actual room as its all the “post” Minnesota clothes and her bedding and pillow that upsets me.  Even as much as her socks and pajamas in her drawers.  I still have a small pile of T-shirts that she wore the last few weeks that I could never wash or put away.  The “smell”.  I wish Che could be here to help me. I wish Jessie could be back laying in her bed again.  That’s why I’m so worried when the doctor tells us what sex the baby is and I’ll be disappointed if its not a girl.  I know that sounds bad but I’m mixed.  Of course I don’t care as long as its healthy but in one way I just want my girl.  I’ve lost two, so why can’t I just have one more?  Sometimes I think maybe its better if I did have a boy.  That way I won’t compare the baby to Jessie or who knows.  I ask Jessie to give me whatever she thinks would help me.  I leave it up to her.  She knows what’s best.  I do believe she has her hands in this all.  Well, thank you for checking in.  Its nice to have you all back again.  June 17th is our last day at school.  Can’t wait.  Then we have so much to do for this baby.  Hope you all have a great week.  Say some prayers for our sick kids and keep Jessie in your hearts.

You may have to change some of Jessica’s things, but with her blessings for a new baby. I know you will, but take it at the pace you can! Thanks for keeping us up to date. Please tell Che hello and I have her in my prayers.

Tick Tick Tick, time is moving swiftly for you ( I hope) and soon you will have a beautiful healthy little bundle safe in your arms. What a journey it has. Thank you for allowing us to share in the joy of things to come. Will the hospital you go to have baby nursery website? We had one at ours to see the newborn pictures. Enjoy your time that you have left.
We are done with school on the 25th. My poor daughter gets her tonsils out the very next day, not much of a way to start a summer recess.
Best wishes for the next few weeks! Becky

You’re so very brave to tackle Jessie’s room this weekend Julie. I know you might not think you’re brave, but you are…and you’ve got one heck of an Angel in your corner. We’ll be thinking of you.

Give my best to the boys and pat that tummy of yours for me!

    Love,
    Alexis

P.S. We’re not exactly on the way to your school, but if you don’t find a babysitter closer to home, we have a WONDERFUL gal right in the ‘hood’.

    Julie,
I have not signed in for a very long time but I have been checking in on you. I am so excited for you and your family. My prayer is these next few weeks go by wonderfully for you and you get to enjoy all the exciting times that go along with a new baby. I’m sure your son is just as exicted as you.
I did want to mention a word of encouragement, It has taken me a year and a half to clean out Sidney’s room. I know the anxiety you feel, we have left plenty of Sidney’s personality in there even though we made alot of changes as well. Stay strong, you can do it. You have so many joyous days ahead.

    Hi Julie
I’m so glad that you and the baby are doing so well, little Jessie is in heaven smiling down on all of you and she knows that she will such a part of her baby sister or brother’s life, when you and your family share everything about her. Michele

Sorry it’s been so long, Julie! We jusdt got back from vacation but i read your post and I can’t believe how the time is flying by! Two July bdays will be amazing, for sure. I think you described it absolutely right about Jessie having her little hands in this, too. I can only imagine how badly you must want another girl, even though OF COURSE the most important thing is the baby’s health. I think you are right tho…she knows what will help you and heal you most and no matter what, you’ll always have Jessie too as a part of your family in many ways. Just relax, try not to clean too much LOL… if you need help or advice w/ all the fun new baby gadgets, email me. We had SO much fun shopping for Ava when she came along..there are a lot of new and really cool things that prob weren’t aroudn when Thomas or my eldest was born. It will be SO much fun! Rest and take care…i cannot BELIEVE you all still have school in the next town over!!! What a great day the 17th will be! Enjoy! jess d.
