My lil guy

Ryan is doing well. Its promising that he’s coming home tomorrow because they scheduled a time tonight to teach Tom and I how to work the apnea monitor and to give us a quick lesson on infant CPR.  Today I sent my fertility doctor a picture of Ryan and said a big thank you to him for making this possible too.  He was wonderful. I know that they will be excited. This weekend my neighbor Michele is giving me a baby shower. It’ll be fun because our neighborhood is filled with great people. A lot of laughs.  As soon as Ryan gets home, I’ll be sending out baby announcements.  I’m going to do something a bit different so I hope it works out.  I hope it doesn’t take too long to get them.  So if you would like one and I don’t have your address, please send me an email with it.  I would love to send you all one.  You guys are our extended family. How could I thank you for always being here to support us?  We’ve been on an amazing journey. Tears and laughs! And now we’ll build new memories with Ryan and cherish the old ones with Jessie.  Soon we will be a family without any tubes, medicines, and nurses but with an angel who will be watching us keeping us safe.

    Julie,

So excited for your family. Don’t stress the moniter, it’s pretty straight forward. Just be aware, it sometimes goes off a lot for no apparent reason. Also, it’s always good for anyone to know infant cpr, you never know when you might need it. When my oldest was an infant, they didn’t commonly have the monitors for home use,so they put him on phenobarbital, with us taking turns watching him sleep. Luckily with the second one they had the monitors, but that was 18 years ago so they’ve probably come a long ways.
I envy you, starting over with a new one, I’m waiting for grandbabies now. And nobody has to tell you to enjoy the moments, they go by so fast.
As always, your family is in our prayers. I would love an announcement, could you post your email for addresses?

Well if you have learned one thing on your journey it would be patients. Man, I am so sorry this is taking so long. Babies have a way of doing things on their terms. So glad Ryan is one step away from coming home. Sorry I haven’t gotten a card off to you yet but we need some time to be able to shop for something from good ol Minnesota for him. Depending how the twins do, it could be something baseball, imagine that. Anyhoot continued blessing are sent your way Jules and family. Hang in there I know you must be stir crazy by now. Who wouldn’t be. Get that stroller ready to roll. Love from us all!!!

I am so happy to hear the GREAT news. I can tell from your last post how excited you are all, too. It is amazing how this site has brought so many people together. Could you ever imagine? People like me, who we don’t even know eachother, but somehow as mothers, we all share a common bond.I hope that this is a wonderful time in your family’s lives and that happiness follows you where ever you go. May your old memories bring you comfort and last you a lifetime, and may you continue to build wonderful new memories, too. We are all rooting for you guys!
Maybe you could post Ryan’s birth announcement on this website!
    Happy homecomecoming, Ryan!

    Hello Tucker family!!
It has been a really long time, I had to google your name to pull up this website, I was so hoping you still had it up. If you can remember back, My son Anthony had a cord blood transplant for Osteopetrosis in 2002. (I originally got your website through the Stimmels, I met them when Hannah ended up in Schneider Childrens Hopital in NY. ) and if you remember he is blind. Well he is now 6 completely cured and in school. He speaks 5 languages, yes 5, all self taught. I buy him the CD’s and he listens and learns, fast! so he can speak Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Italian and of course English. He is mostly fluent in Russian, its sound so funny coming from the mouth of my half Puerto Rican son!! especially when he speaks Chinese!!!

I am so happy for you and the birth of your baby, I know what pain and sadness you went through when Jessica passed, and I always thought of you. Im glad to hear your all doing well, all the best to you and your family.

    love,
    Tracey Dones
