Another week

Things are continuing to go well.  Ryan is just so adorable.  He’s an extremely good baby except for the fact he’s very gassy.  I’ve tried to look online about gassy babies and breastfeeding but they don’t say too much.  most say cut out dairy which I’m trying today.  The pooor baby passes gas like a man. I feel sorry for him.  He fusses a lot because of it. So hopefully it’ll pass as he gets older.  he hasn’t had any spells since on the caffiene which is nice.  Only a few more weeks of the medicine and we’ll see how he does after that. He’s sleeping okay through the night.  He still gets up every 3 hrs sometimes more if he falls asleep during feeding.  Ya know how that is!

Anyway, Thomas is busy with football now and pretty soon he’ll be in school. Its going to be weird not going back with him.  I’m still kind of torn but I’ll take my time with Ryan , I guess and take advantage of it.  Thomas doesn’t mind either. I just love working with the people I do.  I’ll miss the kids more importantly.  Especially my lil Josh. Well, I have to go.  I’m going on my walk with my boys. (sounds weird)  Thanks for checking in. I’ll get some pics on the page soon.  Take care and enjoy your week.

Julie, One of my kids was really gassy… other stuff to cut out is chocolate, acidic foods like tomatoes etc. or if you are eating a lot of raw veggies. I think I used some drops I bought over the counter as well. Sorry for the little guy… it is uncomfortable.

MY FRIEND SWEARS BY INFANT MYLICON DROPS FOR HER LITTLE ONE… PLUS I FIND WHEN HOLDING THEM LIFTING THE LEGS UP & DOWN RELEAVES SOME OF THE GAS PRESSURE IN THE TUMMY…. GOOD LUCK

    Hi Julie,

It’s great to hear that all is well with the family. I can’t wait to see more pics of you all. The birth announcement was absolutely adorable! What beautiful little men you are raising :~)

I know you will probably get a ton of advice on the gas issue with Ryan but here’s mine too… I had a C-Section with my newest addition too, and the pediatrician told me that it is very common with c-section babies. This is supposedly because they do not have that “squeeze” that vaginally born babies do. He said that it would pass(literally & fuguratively) and it did! I think that when Zeke was about 3 or 4 months old it finally tapered off and he wasn’t as fussy. We never used drops, but did alot of tummy rubbing. I have heard that the drops are great though. I always tried to avoid overly gassy foods too, like beans, cabbage, etc. I remember being in the store with him, and he would pass gas so loud that I was sure that people thought it was me! LOL! Anyway, I’m sure that all of the pressure will soon subside. I hope that his little tummy feels better soon!

    Lots of Love,
    Misti
